The McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine welcomes a new member to its finance team, Mary Rose McGivern. We are very excited to expand the financial administrative support to all McGowan members. Mary Rose will join the Finance Administration Team along with Kim Burns, Darleen Noah, Roma Palmer, Jessa Johnson and Rachel Maloy. After she completes her onboarding training, she will be assigned to specific faculty to support all research finance needs (pre and post award support as well as closeout). Mary Rose is eager to learn and be helpful in any way and we are thankful.
Here is more about Mary Rose in her own words:
I am happy to be joining The McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine as a Pre & Post-Award Grants & Contracts Analyst. I received bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After completion of my undergraduate, I worked for 10 years in corporate finance and banking in various roles. While working, I completed my master’s degree in finance at Robert Morris University. I also started my own travel business and spent 13 years growing and managing all aspects of the business. I initially joined the University of Pittsburgh in 2023 doing pre & post-award in research administration and I am looking forward to continuing my research administration career at MIRM.
I am a lifelong resident of the Pittsburgh area. I enjoy travel, hiking, senior citizen outreach and spending time with friends and family.
