Mrs. Kimberly (Kim) Burns is the Director of Finance and Operations for the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine.  She has an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors Degree from the IU Kelley School of Business in Business Management.  She has an extensive career in finance, operations, and research administration as well as continuing membership with the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA).  Mrs. Burns is tasked with strategic fiscal vision planning and organization of staff operations including communication, engagement, training and promotions.  She directs the budgeting process and oversees the analysis and review of financial information, oversees the finance and administration team and establishes direction, goals, and implementation of strategy within the department.  Additionally, she’s tasked with formulating, implementing and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and regulations, and collaborating with key stakeholders.

Mrs. Burns is working to obtain her CRA and Master’s in the next few years.
