Ivan Yotov, PhD
Dr. Ivan Yotov is currently a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Yotov received his MS degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics at Rice University and then continued on to receive his PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics also at Rice University.
Dr. Yotov’s research interests include: 1.) numerical analysis; 2.) numerical solution of partial differential equations; 3.) large scale scientific computing; 4.) parallel processing; 5.) computational fluid dynamics; 6.) porous media; and 7.) biomedical modeling.
Dr. Yotov is Editor-in-Chief, Computational Geosciences. He is also a member of several professional organization and scientific societies, including the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, the American Mathematical Society, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Interpore (International Society for Porous Media), and the United States Association for Computational Mechanics.
