Dr. Jeffrey Carpenter is Professor and Chairman, Department of Surgery, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, and Medical Director of the Surgical Services Institute, Vice President, Perioperative Services, Cooper University Health Care in Camden, New Jersey. Dr. Carpenter attended medical school at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut, and completed an internship, his residency, and a fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Carpenter’s clinical interests include abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, carotid arterial disease, peripheral vascular disease, and endovascular surgery.
He is currently the principal investigator or co-investigator for multiple clinical and basic science grants, with DOD and/or industry funding.
He is co-founder of StemPlant, LLC, a regenerative medicine company seeking solutions for vascular disease applications. Dr. Carpenter has 10 issued patents and multiple pending applications. He was co-founder of Embrella Cardiovascular, Inc., an embolic protection device company acquired by Edwards Lifesciences in 2011.
Dr. Carpenter serves/has served on the editorial boards of Journal of Vascular Surgery, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Therapy, Vascular, and other journals. Most recently, he has received the following recognition for his work:

Dr. Carpenter is a member of many organizations and professional societies.
