    Jacqueline Kreutzer, MD

    Dr. Jacqueline Kreutzer is presently the Pediatric Cardiology Division Chief, and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and is also Professor in Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Kreutzer received her MD from the University of Buenos Aires Medical School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was previously an Instructor in Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Kreutzer was also an Assistant in Cardiology in the Department of Cardiology at Children's Hospital in Boston and was also an Attending Cardiologist at The Children's Hospital in Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She joined the Faculty at the University of Pittsburgh in 2005. Dr. Kreutzer is a member of several professional and scientific societies, a few include: the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association Council of Cardiovascular Disease in the Young, The Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention's Congenital Heart Disease Committee, and the American Heart Association, Council on Cardiovascular Disease in the Young, Committee on Congenital Cardiac Defects. Dr. Kreutzer’s current research interests include:
    • Cardiac catheterization and transcatheter intervention in congenital heart disease: novel catheter/device technology and clinical applications (animal testing and clinical trials)
    • Transcatheter cardiac valve therapies, including percutaneous valve implantation
    • Single ventricle variants: invasive assessment of ventricular function, hemodynamic evaluation, transcatheter intervention
    • Prenatal catheter intervention
